Know the warning signs of Domestic Violence:

The signs of domestic violence can be different in every relationship. Below is a list of behaviors an abuser might display:

  • Hits, kicks, bites or chokes partner
  • Throws or breaks things
  • Threatens to hurt or harm partner or partner’s family
  • Destroys property or sentimental objects
  • Prevents you from leaving the house
  • Controls who you see and what you do
  • Calls you names or puts you down
  • Monitors your phone and phone calls
  • Causes problems for you at work or school
  • Controls your money, takes away or withholds money from you
  • Threatens suicide if you leave the relationship
