Pastor Barrington Johnson and New Zion Church are excited to partner with New Chapter Alliance to help combat homelessness in the Charlotte area!
New Chapter Alliance is an organization dedicated to helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness by providing temporary and emergency housing solutions while assisting them on their journey toward permanent housing. Their mission is to help families move from homelessness to stability, security, and a place they can call home.
As part of our B2B (Blessed to Bless) Season, we have set a goal of raising $30,000 by Sunday, November 22, to help 15 families transition out of homelessness and into permanent housing.
How to give: Give online through Givebutter, the platform managing our fundraiser. To give by check, use an orange donation envelope available at church on Sundays.

This November, everyone is asked to serve in one of the following ways. Choose where you can make a difference.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 · 11:00 AM
Community Walk
We will canvass the Todd Park community and surrounding areas, praying for people, inviting them to our church, and sharing information about our B2B Season and ways we can serve them.
OUR GOAL: 350 BLESSING BAGS
Blessing Bags
Help provide comfort, warmth, and essential items to individuals experiencing homelessness throughout our community. We invite every member to participate by preparing at least one Blessing Bag.
NEW & GENTLY USED CLOTHING
Kingdom Couture
Bless individuals and families in our community by donating new or gently used clothing of all sizes and for all ages.
Place your donations in the designated clothing bins in the Former Sanctuary.
TWO WAYS TO LEND A HAND
Meal Kits for Families
Help provide families with groceries and essential ingredients to prepare meals at home.
Grocery Shopping: Purchase items from the predetermined grocery list. Shoppers will be given a $150 Walmart gift card.
Meal Kit Preparation: Help sort, organize, and package groceries into complete meal kits for pickup or delivery to families in need.
DONATION DEADLINE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15
Hearts for Hands Food Drive
Help make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in need through our food drive benefiting Hearts for Hands!
Purchase the requested nonperishable food items and essential supplies and bring your donations to New Zion Church by Sunday, November 15. Place all donated items in the designated collection area in the church lobby.
All collected donations will be delivered to Hearts for Hands to help provide food and essential supplies to those in need.
